Walking Cauldron of Useless Knowledge
I created this portion of this website to be a landing zone for technical reviews of essentially everything and anything. Literally.
If I ever wrote a comparison of the buoancy characteristics of rubber ducky toy doll models made by different manufacturers - you'd find it here. If I ever get around to writing a review about the Sony 53" XBR HDTV - you'd find it here. A biased review about the metallurgical options of mountain bicycle frame tubing? You'd find it here. An unlearned write-up of Perl scripting vs ASP? You'd find it here. I think you get the picture.
I hope by placing all that I think* I know in one place, someone out there may actually stumble across this pile and find some usefulness for all this stuff. <On my soap box> Heck. For a determined amount of time, we're all forced to live on the same planet. Instead of exploiting all of our subtle differences, we may actually find it europhically enlightening if we spent some effort leveraging the benefits of one another's co-existence. <Off my soap box.> In effect, I'm doing all I can to exploit one of the apparent benefits of the internet: Write Once - Read Often.
I separated my reviews into three areas which seem to make sense, at least, for my macrocasm:
Audio/Video (i.e. Home Theater)
Information Technology (i.e. Computers)
Software (Programming Languages, Operating Systems, and Tools)
Hardware (Chips, I/O Cards, Motherboards, Tower Cases, etc.)
Machines (Everything from man-powered bicycles to the rocket-fueled space shuttle.)
If you're looking for ideas or thoughts about my photography hobby, go to my Photography page.
If you're interested about seeing some of my write-ups about the places I've been to, then you're interested in my Travel page.
For my opinions on Entertainment Software Titles, Movies, Literature, DVDs, CDs, etc., etc., then head off to Noteworthy.
For everything else, go to my Gray Matter page.
*A few disclaimers: All the compositions contained herein are my personal opinions (or of those noted). Do not accept what you read here as the end-all or be-all of opinions. I may believe what I write, but this doesn't mean you have to. I just wish to share some of my own personal experiences on this road called Life, and they are simply that, my own personal thoughts and ideas, to hopefully help others form their own educated verdict on the subject matter at hand. Everyone's got a brain - please fell free to use it (although I've come across certain individuals who can legitimately fall under the questionable category).
